No. Especially for Highschool. I find that it is a waste of money. So you get one... you can wear it for what another 4 years till you need to buy a college one? I don't really see the point in them. in the past when graduating highschool was really an achievement, i could understand them, however nowadays, i do not see the point. Save the money you would spend on a ring and have a better senior class trip. Besides Highschool sucked anyway, especially when compared to college.
College in the otherhand is a different story, Being a guy, I do not wear much jewelery, so I found it too to be a waste, and besides, they were kinda ugly.
Just my opinion

No, you end up wasting your money. If you really want to get something to commemorate your graduation, then buy a ring at a fine jewelry store that you'll actually wear for more than three months after June of when you graduate!

Well, everyone is different. Personally, I loved my class ring, but I was very close to my classmates, loved my school and all that stuff. I was very proud of my school and loved to wear my ring.
But, that only lasted awhile, and it has been sitting in my jewlery box for years and years. I guess I wore it constantly for, I don't know, about 5-6 yrs.
Now, college ring, that's a different story. I didn't get one, but my husband did and he wears it all the time. He sweat blood over that ring, lol!!!! It's a gorgeous ring and he still, after all these years gets comments on it.
So, if it's not a big deal for you, and you don't think you will wear it, don't get one, but if you are going back and forth over the cost, and down inside you want one, go for it. Even though I don't wear mine anymore, I still smile when I see it in my jewlery box, and I keep it polished.
Hope this helps!

It depends on the individual purchasing the ring. If certain priceless memories occured at the school while you attended and the purchaser believes that a ring will help them to reminisce about those memories in the future then go for it! If an individual has an incredible amount of school pride then they should also go for it. But in my opinion if you are just purchasing a ring for just mere show, I could think of a couple hundred alternate methods of spending the couple hundred to thousand bucks.

No. I bought one, I wore it during my senior year maybe a little after, but that's it. If any class ring is worth sporting it's a college ring I think - because completing college takes a lot of effort AND a lot of money! Come to think of it, I don't even know where my high school class ring is anymore.
I'm 26 btw

I don't think it is a total waste of money, I still have my ring from 25+ years ago..but I don't agree with spending vast amounts of money either. My ring looks just like my kids rings and I got all of their rings from Wal-Mart....under $100 for each one. I think the ring should be cost efficient too, not a massively expensive thing.

wast of money. Most folks dont give a damm about high school in a year, so why spend the $ for a cheap ring.

I think it's a total waste of money, too. You're not going to wear it, or else you're going to wear it once and then keep it locked up somewhere until 10 years later when you dig it out from its grave of dust. You'd might as well just get a senior class t-shirt instead because it's much cheaper, and it'll be something you can actually use...
