I got a perm 2 years ago (with my shoulder length hair) and NEVER again will I do it. So will getting a body perm (with mid-back hair) make it frizzy and last a year and a half?

a body perm is actually the same as a perm except you use bigger rods in the hair. you could get a spiral perm(which is the rods go up and down rather than horizontal) it could also depend on the type of perm solution you use. do you have color or bleach on your hair, if you are getting this done professionally you need to tell your stylist everything you have put on your hair

a perm is a perm is a perm; the only difference is the size of the rods used to roll the hair. Have your hair trimmed after the perm, keep your hair conditioned, and don't mistreat it with curling irons, hot rollers, etc.

A body perm is more just that, body with waves. A perm is more curly. Wil it last that long, not sure. It isn't as tight of a perm as the regular perm.

Good Luck with that. Every time I ask for a body wave, I get a "poodle perm". I have given up, I guess I will have "straight as a board" hair forever.

I think with a body perm, they just use larger rods.

It's the same thing, they just use bigger rods for body perm.
