I love dairy products, but if you think about it, the entire idea of trying it in the first place is grotesque! I've left a half-empty glass of milk out before over night, and when I poured it out it was semi-solid! Who got the notion to EAT it?
Whoever it is I sure am grateful for his bravery. I love cheese!

It's true that mammals provide milk for their young. But if that's so, why are we drinking the milk of other animals? And eating it after it's spoiled?

pastoral societies, i.e. ancient societies who lived on herding animals, cows, goats, sheep, camels, whatever. they saw the calves/ kids/ lambs/whatever baby camels are called drinking milk, and of course breastfed their children, so when times got tough they resorted to the milk of their animals as an emergency food supply. cheese came about as a way of preserving milk. i guess some brave soul actually tasted the gunk left behind from a cup of milk and found it nice and nutritious, and then experimented further to find that it stayed edible for much longer than the original milk. don't forget that the milk people had back then was unprocessed and so the soured remains were actually very tasty, whereas the soured remains of milk you buy in the supermarket are quite disgusting. when i was a kid we used to get unprocessed milk from a farmer friend and i always looked forward to the sour leftovers, they were yummy. i'm grateful to the person who first tried sour milk, too, but i bet it was a woman. it would have been a woman who was in charge of the food supply, no? anyway, no man would be brave enough to taste semisolid milk gunk. ;-)

Someone who knew better than to waste something as precious and life sustaining as dairy products. That included just about every person on earth until about 1950 when disposable, instant, rehydrated and The good old USDA came of age.

louss passuer was the person who invented processing milk but when you really think about it at the beginning of time we all drank mother milk when we were babies right? so naturally cows and goats who were tame and had milk wre used to give us drink which we need to grow products from milk were later made by the early people to eat cheese butter etc
