Probably your own thought processes in a situation like this are not much different that someone in a law enforcement position. You both grew up with similar schooling, training, values, peer influences, marriage and having kids that you love.

Imagine your own loved one or family friend or relative is the drug abuser and ask yourself what you're capable of doing. Do you see yourself taking them to the police department and turning them in? Or calling for the police to come to your home and turn him in there? Or have someone else do it? Or try to coax the loved one to turn themselves in to the police? Or to a treatment facility? I think it's a hard decision no matter what job you have. Police officers have family members - sons and daughters - that get arrested for all sorts of crimes, and many are in jail or prison too. It's a value judgment and one that's hard to predict.

These people a criminals beyond belief...I wish I had room to tell you what really goes on with these thugs. It would be hard but the law is the law and if it had to be done it had to be done.
