saying it could hurt minorities, the poor, and the elderly who might have trouble producing a photo identification.
Republicans sponsors of the voter identification bill said it was a common sense way to stop voter fraud at the polls. People need photo IDs to board planes, buy alcohol, cigarettes, get perscriptions, or cash checks and the government will give it to them for free through many State and Federal agencies. ""This is not a new concept and Americans want safe borders and safe ballots."

What do you think?

States like Arizona only this year passed a simular law after calls of illegals voting. It was a political battle to get it passed.

I don't think it's too much to ask to produce a simple form of identification when casting a vote for presidency. If the Democrats are going to complain, then I don't want to hear them b*tching and moaning and crying "election fraud!" the next time a Republican gets voted into presidency again.

The democrat party IS the party of voter fraud, hasn't anyone heard about the 60' election where they got all the cemeteries in cook county illinois to vote for JFK? or did everyone hush that up?

If dems cant get their illegals and felons to vote, they will never see the white house again, (unless they pay for the tour)

Democrats claim it amounts to a 'tax'. This does not explain why the opposed a State law that would have required a free 'voter id card'. The state in question even offered to send officials to the voter to make the cards.

ID's are a veiled poll tax which I oppose. When the State of Ohio stops charging $25+ for ID purchases then I won't oppose it. To get a state ID you must have your original birth certificate which also costs at least $50 to replace if something happens.

There is also no law saying you have to show ID when turning in a voter registration form. So it's sort of hypocritical.

I think that it is a great idea....

I can however see the frustration of the liberals.... they would no longer be able to take bus loads of illegal immigrants to multiple polling places to vote multiple times in a single election.

It just shows you how stupid the Democrats must think the public is. That is just a lame arguement against it. IT raises the question though, why are they so against making sure only citizens vote in our elections????
