Anchor babies are children born to undocumented workers in America who are given all American rights. Thank goodness for that! (I suppose I'm an anchor baby. And proud of it!)

Yes somewhat...two different interpretations. An anchor baby is a baby who is born in the US by illegal immigrants. they are excited because now they have a son/ daughter who is an american citizen.
The other is, a man and a woman who are not serious have an unplanned baby and now that man is anchored in some way to that woman for life.

ok..my friend..whats an anchor..do..it keeps you from going any where and what is a baby...well what men and women make..if the sperm and egg meet..ok ..an anchor baby keeps the parents from going any where..like where back to what country they came from..when a baby is born here in the usa ..they are citizens..and got a ton of rights until liberals take them away if you vote republician..illegal immigrants have a kid..and then they can stay..what what an anchor baby..is..

That's correct. When the parents, typically the mother, come to the United States, and have their child, the child is granted citizenship by virtue of having been physically born in the United States.

it is a stupid unfair term used to describe babies born to illegal immigrants here in the US. The children are natural born citizens due to our laws. The child cannot help the parents (contrary to popular belief) to get their papers. At least not until the child is 18 years of age. The notion is absurd...who is going to have a child and wait 18 years only to become legal??
