I found that unexplained stomach cramps worked best. You didn't have to sound like you had the flu and they can't say you dont have it. The worst the Doctor can do is send you for an Xray or ultrasound.

Food poisoning or another intestinal disorder is the best excuse since everyone gets them at some point and nobody wants to ask questions about it.

Tell who it may concern that u have tuberculosis or meningitis. This works because they are highly contagious illnesses. Beware you will need to get a doctors note!
