Is it essential for a guy to own a car if he is serious about having a serious relationship?

There can be 2 answers to this question:
From a functional perspective: It really depends on where you live. If you live in a place that requires getting around via driving (like Southern California), owning a car is pretty important. If you live in a densely populated area where walking and public transportation is more the norm (i.e. NYC, SF), then you could probably spare yourself the trouble.
From a interpersonal/materialistic view: Owning a car really SHOULDN'T matter. If a girl won't date you because you DON'T have one, then perhaps she's looking for the wrong things in a guy.

No,we would like a guy that can take us places that will be great but car is not important in a serious relationship.and if a girl told u that she just wants 2 use u.

It depends on where you live. If there is a lot of public transportation, or the town is easy to get around walking or on a bike, then no, not important. If you live somewhere like the O.C. or L.A., for example, then yes.

well i guess that depends where you live! if u wanna see your girl in a city like NY it would not be hard but a small town would be harder with no public transportation......i personally won't date someone with out a car....
