What about a chocolate rose, are thoes good too?

Well, the thing is, you can't make such a generalization, although I'd love to say that every girl would love a chocolate rose, some wouldn't. I have a lot of friends who are allergic to or just plain don't like chocolate, so if she's like that, she wouldn't like the chocolate rose.
Now for the Mixed CD, it depends, is she really in to music? Even if she isn't obsessed, does she carry an iPod/Cd player/etc. around and listen to music? If yes, then a mixed CD would be a good gift, if not, then no.
Self made bracelets are also good gifts, for certain girls, if she's the kind of person who appriciates things for the sentiment and not the money value, then something hand made would be a great way of showing how much you appriciate/like/love her. Personally, when I buy a gift for anyone, I always add a personal touch, like a drawing or a hand made card, just to show them I didn't just pick up the first thing I saw at the Hallmark store.
But all in all it's your descision, buying gifts for your girlfriend/boyfriend/spouse is a very good way to test how much you really love them.

Yes just the fact that you're thinking about them makes them happy. Like one time my boyfriend made me this cute little packeage with a bracelet he made and a burnt cd of all my favorite sings and a little chocolate heart and that's why I love him because he knows and listens to me not because he has the most money. So go for it if it's for you're girlfriend.`

These things are great especially the bracelet and CD because that means that you have put some thought into what might please her and have taken your time to do something special for her. It really shows how much you like her. Anybody can go out and buy these thing but if they were to make them it would mean 10 times as much to me anyway.

I would think anything homemade is sweet, because it shows he cares enough to take the time to make something for me, whether he is good at it or not.
Chocolate roses are cute too, and more unique than an ordinary box of chocolates. (Dark chocolate rocks -- just my opinion)
Something like a mix CD is cool, like if it's songs you both like or songs that are special to you both or something... or if it's a song that reminds you of her, tell her that, because it makes it even more special.

It depends on the age group. Young girls (some) can appreciate the small jester. (Older Women) Like ME, I love the fact a GUY take time to get to know me and find out little things about me and what i like and then makes something for me. That's some DEEP Shiiit for real. This will get mind blowing sex for REAL!!!!!!!

depends on the girl....... I love getting just a single flower, or if i mention that i love that new CD out by so-and-so, and my guy happens to overhear unintentionally and surprise me with it... OR even just a love letter... not a quick 'i love you forever' note, but really put ur feelings in it and all that... thats the best! its a timeless letter you can look back on years from now.......
SOME girls snub their nose up at lil gifts and see them as.... "thats all im worth to you?!?" for instance.... "I'm not good enough to get a DOZEN roses, i get only a single rose??" although i doubt she'd ever say that to ur face, but u might hear it 3rd party from a friend of hers or somethin... Sooooo.... it depends on the personality of ur girl........

well you see, if i was this girl, [ which i'm not because i know who it is! ] i would go for the chocolate rose hands down. but then again, chicken pot pies [ with extra pot ] are always a good choice. and i think little chocolate needs to get her mind out of the gutter with all that sex talk.

For me its all about the little things. You don't even have to buy anything. Run a bubble bath and cook dinner that is perfect

as long as you match her taste - she'll love the cd or the bracelet more than roses.
