If we're going to go and bring in 'logic' now with that faith for the atheists, isn't it 'logical' to not drive a car? why do you put your faith and life in the hands of complete strangers who could be insane, driving str8 at you on the highway? this is anything But logical sorry? Anyways, everyone has faith in something, you just might have faith in a belief system the same as me. atheism is in fact a 'doctrine' BTW. (webster's dictionary). TY FOR YOUR POLITE ANSWERS!!!!!!!!! :o}

Have you ever thought that there was something or some one out there that was watching out or over you? I ask people all the time do they believe in Jesus. and a lot of the time they tell me no, that they do not. my question to them is this, do you really want to take the chance that there really is a heaven and a hell? what if there is and you miss out on the opportunity to decide where you will spend eternity. Do you want to take that chance? I personally believe in God the father, and one day I plan to be with him. I hope that you will join me.

Most people BEGIN with faith but in logical people faith is eventually replaced with logic and/or knowledge. For example, children are often brought up with a faith in Santa Claus. They have evidence of him based on the appearance of presents. Maturation and knowledge, however, will eventually replace the false belief system.

Yes you are correct, we all have faith in some things.

I am an atheist, I have faith in humanity.

I would like for you to explain how the simple definition "Not theist" can have a doctrine attached to it.

There is no atheist doctrine, only the common belief that there is no god.

Sure, if you want to be so broad that "faith" is anything you believe, wether it has evidence to support it or not. Then everything can be faith. "I need to breathe to stay alive". Well, I've never died, so I don't *really* know, so that's faith! Wow, we're all so faithful. If you want to make faith meaningless like that, you go right ahead. Makes my job that much easier.

I wouldn't say they all have faith in something. I would say everyone either has the living God or an idol.

Idols include: Money, women/men or lust (porno), possessions (cars, houses, jewels, etc)...their career, gambling, drugs/alcohol, etc...
