one thing that helps is keeping the inner ear hair plucked. the other is that there is no home cure for an ear infection for dogs. cuz it could be bacterial or fungus related, so you have to take the dog to the vet. keeping the ears pinned up after a bath helps to air out the ear canal and not create re-curring infections.

you need to take him to the vet so you can get the right kind of ear solution to clear your dog's ears up. it would probably help the infection if you clean your dog's ears out every day with a piece of gauze or a cotton ball (NOT a Q-tip b/c the inside of dogs' ears are in an L shape - different from ours - and you could accidentally puncture the ear).

The dog needs to be taken to the vet. It will need a thorough cleaning (which should be done by a professional) and then it will need a prescription of antibiotics. Do it soon because if you allow the infection to get worse you could be putting your dog's hearing in jeopardy.

first the vet needs to see the dog to determine the proper antibiotic ear ointment....it is not a one size fits all medicine.

A good at home remedy is tea tree oil a couple drops a day till it clears up

if you can't go to a vet...you might want to try just a capful of hydrogen peroxide
