I totally agree!! It's also pretty annoying when people try to defend it by saying that America was founded by immigrants and that it is what makes America great...I am all for people coming here to make a better life for themselves, but when I hear that children of immigrants can go to college for free while I have to pay my student loans off PLUS pay my taxes it drives me bananas...When there was that national protest a couple of months ago, I think the number one thing that should have pissed everyone off was that Mexican immigrants were shouting that have every right to be here while waving the Mexican Flag around!! Where I live, if you don't speak Spanish, you can't really find a job...What about my rights as natural-born citizen?

I think its a complicated issue. I think it sucks that there is a group of people who thinks breaking the law is basically okay. I think i sucks that the republicans in office are so set on cutting social services across the board, but they still want cheap, ignorant labor to clean their houses and work in their factories. I think it sucks that a person with a high school education can't make a living wage anymore. I think it sucks that corporations that used to take care of their employees as the asets they were, are now cutting retirment and medical benifits, so the share-holders get a bigger cut at the end of the year. I think it sucks that so many people who have the ability and drive to go to college can't. ANd I think it sucks that the mexican gorernment has decided to focus of getting their citizens into our country, rather then inprove their country.

My mom's an undocumented worker and she pays STATE and FEDERAL taxes. Funny how the government will accept her tax money but won't allow her to become a citizen. I'm a citizen thanks to my parents coming here "illegally". Furthermore, undocumented workers don't take YOUR homes or YOUR jobs. They earn them. My parents worked hard on minimum wage jobs to make a better life for my four siblings and I.
As soon as I turn 21 my mom will become a citizen. And she will finally be able to receive all of the "benefits" you claim they already get (but really don't).

I think most immigrants would like to be able to be citizens and pay taxes and contribute to society. I'm not sure where you are getting your knowledge of immigrants. But I agree with you on that point that I don't want anyone to come to our country who wish to exploit us.

I do 100%! I'm all for LEGAL immigration, but unfortunately, whenever you have ILLEGAL immigration you also have allot of crime, disloyalty, and a whole menagerie of other social and economic problems you wouldn't otherwise have.
I wish all the "I don tink es fare" folks would shut-the-F%$# up and follow the GAw]) D@^N rules.

Well I was over it when I got sick and asked our Gov. for help to keep paying for my middle son's chemo medication. Everyone said No! It comes down to the fact that I am married, paid taxes, sent one son to the Navy and since they won't be able to use him in "A War" they don't care about him.

Just be patient, eventually our country will suffer from the inevitable effects of poor growth management, including bouncing granny out on her sick, crippled *** because her SSI money doesn't cover her rent anymore. Matter of fact, she may not get SSI for much longer!
