You don't. This is a natural thing for a rooster to do. If it really bothers you, think about placing him on a farm where he can "Cacodoodledoo" all he wants.

First and formost, I really hope that this is not a fighting rooster.

Keep it in the dark. I have several birds at home, and when they do not shut up, I cover their cages with a dark sheet. It allows air to flow in, but it makes the cage dark. The bird will think that it is night time, and hopefully be quiet. Some birds, typically larger birds, require more personal attention (some (cockatoos, large parrots ect) have the mentality of a 2 year old human). The human interaction while it may seem pretty lame, helps provide companionship for the bird, and they tend to be less tense and in turn less vocal. Roosters probably are not this smart, however you never know.

Your rooster (not really sure why you would want one other than to eat at some point in time) may not respond to it. You may want to consider double paned windows to keep the noise down, and keep the bird as far away from your house as possible. However this stated, roosters are really annoying to neighbors, and often illegal in metropolitan areas.

Either way, try putting it in a dark place, esp at night where lights will not light up his living area and see how it works. If it cuts down on the cockadoodle-dooing by 1/2 you are miles ahead of where you were. That and you would be less aggravating to your neighbors.

Dude, Why would you prefer to resign the chicken from doing what comes organic. What if somebody needed to resign you from doing some thing that comes organic to you? to make certain that there to be cohesion interior the universe, each thing has its' place. Birds would desire to sing, roosters would desire to crow, canine bark, and individuals *****. All of it is organic. i think of the subsequent time you pay attention the chicken crow purely understand that your concepts of this years from now will refresh your experience of the place you have been in the time of that element and what your concepts-set grow to be and how plenty you would be able to or won't have replaced your tolerance of any such organic act.

Ask your local Vet. The only thing I can think of is to wring his neck. Other wise just deal with it. It too is just Mother Nature. Usually at sunrise and sunset.
