Any reason to be worried?
I was recently legaly seperated but now we got back together and its working out good , during that time I was seperated I had sex with a old freind just once and I have been worried she could be pregnant. She had her tubes tied 17 years ago and she is 41 and she thinks i am nuts, She has had 2 normal periods and even took a home pregnancy test just to shut me up which turned out negative but I am a worry wart.

What do you guys think am I just be stupid and need to stop worrying about her being pregnant?

Also please don't flame me I am just a nervious person who always fears the worst with everything

If her tubes have been tied for the past 17 years I am certain she has had sex during those 17 years and she has not been pregnant and she has had two period. Buddy she is not pregnant. Stop worrying bout it she is not having a baby her tubes are tied if she was gonna get pregnant it would have happened years ago.

Its ok to be nervous. I'm like that too, but for the record, I'm here to re-assure you that she is not pregnant.
A tubal ligation is nearly 100% effective and paired with the fact that she is 41 and had 2 cycles and a negative test. Signs point to your favor. I'm certain she is not pregnant. Dont worry. It will be ok. She is not pregnant.
Just continue on with your wife and be happy and future bound. Don't worry about that night with the old friend.

After two normal periods and a negative test, trust her..she isn't pregnant. Did you tell your wife about your encounter while seperated? If not, that is probably the source of your continuing anxiety. It may be time to sit down and talk about it.

Obviously it is a case of guilt. Weather you were separated or not you must be having some feelings or remorse and regret to worry so much about something that logically you know is impossible. I'd discuss it with your wife if that is an option. Once you let go of the guilt somehow you will be able to let the facts set your mind at ease.

no reason to be worried. at 41 her chances of getting pregnant are slim. add that to the tied tubes and the two normal periods, you can confidently say you're not going to have a baby by this woman.

Unless you have been blessed with mutant sperm, there is no way she could be pregnant. The real issue here sounds like you are worried that something is going to mess up your reconsiliation with your wife. Have you told her about your hook up?? You should be honest, because obviously it is eating at you. You did not get this woman pregnant, you are being paranoid. Let it go and focus on your 2nd chance. Good luck!

to completely put your mind at ease you could get a blood test but at 8 weeks after the fact, a take home test should be accurate if used correctly. Also I had a tubal 9 years ago - nothing even close to a "maybe baby" has ever happened.

Dear "Worried-Stupid",
It only takes one sperm to penetrate an impossible wall and I'm sure yours is the one to do it.
But don't think of that right now, don't think of the women in your life and how they might be feeling.
Concentrate on you, your life - and the consequences your actions may have on YOU.
It's good to know about periods and all that. About contraception and all that. About sterilisation (UK, I know, no knickers in a twist now) - vasectomy - and that.
Responsibility? Stop worrying!

Oh.

You weren't.

She's not pregnant, hon. She would have had skipped periods AND a positive result on the pregnancy test. You can stop worrying now.
