People shouldn't be telling this woman how to be a mother to her own child, stop acting self-righteous and preach to some one who cares.
Anyway, two of my cousins had their ears pinned back when they were teenagers, because they wanted it done also. Of course, she will feel some discomfort afterwards, but this happens to everyone. I say go for it, if that is what your daughter wants, but you should warn her that there will be some pain afterward.
Also, stickie out ears don't just turn in as you grow up, they stay the same.

My brother had his ears pinned back, and he was in quite a bit of pain for two weeks (not that I'm trying to unduly worry you, but I may as well be honest). After that, he was fine, no pain, no scarring.
If shes got any brothers or sisters, try and make it clear to them to be gentle with her. I got into a fight with my brother a week after his op, and I lightly hit him round the side of the head in frustration and he was in tears. Mind you, he was in tears after he saw the Lion King, and that was when he was a teenager.

My niece had it done at around the same sort of age for the same problems and although I can't comment on the pain factor I know the results were great and she is a really happy well adjusted teenager now. Good luck to you both :o)

If you are letting her have surgery to correct a physical apearance due to something stupid such as ears then yes she will be in tremendous pain. Where are you going to get her neurotic brain washed? Did you save up enough money to make your daughter right so you can somehow fix the pain of your mistakes? Good luck with that!

If this could be a genetic concern - and you suffered from being teased - why does no longer you bypass forward and function it executed? You did no longer say how old she is now - however the greater youthful, the less memory she'll have of the technique.

wow, is it really neccessary? afterall, they might correct themsleves in time. also, it might be very disapointing if she thinks that fixing this issue will stop her being picked on, because all children are picked on for something. i think shes too young to be making choices about physical apperance that go as far as surgery.
