I really really want to do Tae Kwon Do, but my freakin principal is forbidding all students in my school who have read Beatle Bailey to take it. Instead we have to go to art stuff and it sucks!!
Any way I could do other martial arts?? I have read the following comics before if that helps:
Cathy, Mutts, Family Circus, Jumpstart, Curtis, and Rex Morgan, M.D.

Nope. You can never do any kind of martial arts. You clearly have such a bad attitude that the most you could hope for is to get kicked to death in a mock UFC "competition".
Now, in all seriousness...
If you really want to study martial arts, you need to do more research on what that means. There are whole ranges of arts from T'ai Chi to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a host of other variations. Every one is the same, every one is different.
First find out what you actually want from an art. Then find a teacher. Then quit reading stupid comic strips and believing they have anything to do with Martial Arts.

Martial arts ans sport are 2 totally different concept. They by no means are equal. The 2 look different and are practiced different. Unfortunately many today do not know the difference. Many are being taught a sport and never learn the art. Therefore people with no knowledge of the arts see a weak version of a true art and gauge everyone according to their knowledge of martial arts and they don' have any knowledge. I love how pugspaw, sensei scandal, stillcrazy put it. I have nothing against those that play games. That is great for them. However, I am interested in having the knowledge and ability of self defense. I'm interested in budo. I do not even want to use the term martial with sport. The 2 does not go together. One is a game. The other is war. There is nothing better than when attacked knowing how to position yourself in a manner that the attacker can't do anything, but is exposed to everything that will stop the threat immediately. When I was a child I played tag. I don't play that childish game anymore. We used to trade punches in grade school. I don't trade punches anymore. If I hit you I mean to stop you. I do not look for a referee to say you tapped out. I'll know you are out when the lights go out and you go limp. I'll know that you surrender when I hear or feel the joint snap. I'll know you can't use that limb right now to attempt to harm me or my family.

What's the?!? Ok guy look you don't have to do exactly what your principal tells you, you can study Martial Arts outside of school, he has no call over that.
the Daily Comics that you see in the paper every day has nothing to do with Martial Arts my friend.
Martial Arts is Self Defense not artwork.
Martial Arts is learning to defend yourself, not draw or storyboard artwork. it involves kicking, punching, etc. it's exercise like your phys ED class in school.
I'm afraid you're a little mixed up about what Martial Arts is.

Why can't you do martial arts just because you read a certain comic? That's just stupid. You can always take Tae Kwon Do outside of school. But if you really need to take it there then either have your parents or you ask why you can't take it just because you read a certain comic.

1st what do comics have to do with martial arts? I don't get that.
2nd: you could try a different style of martial arts like kung-fu or Kenpo like I do.

Dude you obviously have no idea what martial arts is about. you named the comics you read for christ sake?! jesus christ why would that matter?! yea you can probably pay an instructor a **** load of money and have him get you on the basics, but i doubt it'd be anything viable.

If your going to take a martial art don't take it in school for the following reasons. 1. people will know you know it (and if your good and they know you know it they'll shoot you)
2. you cant learn to fight very well at school anyways.
3. people can watch your moves and learn how to kick you a$$.
and wtf does comic books got to do with the martial arts.
