if you were taking the first medication for longer than a month, the doctor should have tapered you off the med, not just stop you cold turkey. You are experiencing pretty classic withdrawal symptoms, I recommend you see a psychiatrist, and if you are, find another one.

As I am sure you realize, it would depend on the medicine(s) involved. You, however, are also a maze of chemicals, esp. in the brain. How you react may be totally different than someone else.
i am thrilled you have such an alert doctor. Many GPs, simply by the breadth of their practice cannot keep up with the mental health field. Sounds like you have a fine one.

I Would Go Back To Your GP And Tell Him What Your Symptoms Are And He Will Be Able To Sort Out What's Happening,
Keep Smiling.
You Will Be Ok.

Hi there, Im on antidepressants, these symptoms you describe above are perfectly normal. They are horrid symptoms, but this is what you experience, rest assuredthese will subside. When you get on the new pills, you will feel even better than you did before. Good luck!

Fairly disgraceful advice from a doctor to just stop taking a medication without any tapering-off measures in place. No wonder you feel strange, especially with antidepressants.
Careless doctor.

some of them take a while to get in your system and can make u feel lousy till they do. its too bad he took u off the other one in only a week. most take several weeks to start working. call ur doc and tell them about your symptoms. could be a bad reaction.

its unlikely its from the change after a week- have you started the new one? that may be the cause, or it can be the underlying problem
Good Luck to You
