So, my aunt who is known for her crazy ideas came up with a real doozy this week. My 14-year-old cousin has been in some real trouble lately (due to poor upbringing, but that's another story). My aunt's solution is for my sister (who is in college) to shadow her 24/7, including going back to jr. high with her. My sister does want to help, and they have offered her $1000 a month to come live with them and do this. It doesn't help that my aunt claims this was revelation from God. They also went over my mom's head and now she is all upset. Does this sound unreasonable to anyone else? Is it too late to avoid causing a permanent rift? I would really miss my uncle and cousins if that happened.

So two questions. How do we talk my sister out of giving up her education to do this (for 2 years) and how do we deal with the rest of the family? Help!

i dont know. The best way to deal with this to talk to your mom about it and your mom can tell her sister. If your sister wants to do it, then you cant actually do anything about it. maybe what you can do is try talking to her and convince her to take some classes in college. (night college)
