Well, it does sound like you're about to get it. Listen, I'm 13 years old and I got my period when I was 12. I remember getting cramps and finally, about 2 hours later, I got it while I was in school. Luckily, I did have a pad on because my mom told me that it did sound like I was going to get it. I think the safest thing to do is to wear a pad because you never know. And if you run out of pads, you can always go to the nurses office and tell them what happened and they'll be happy to give you a few pads. If you don't wear a pad in school, then the blood MIGHT leak and will be uncomfortable. So, I suggest you wear a pad. Also, other signs to getting your period are you get cranky a lot, going to the bathroom a lot, cravings for different foods, and getting cramps and headaches and feeling tired. Have you been feeling almost all of those? But, I think you should really talk to a girl you can trust. For example, your mom, aunt, sister, cousin, friend, teacher or any girl you can trust. Good Luck!

Dont' wear a whole pad. Wear a liner for the next couple days just in case and keep a pad in your backpack. I usually have cramps a day or two before my period. You're probalby about to start.

You are at the age where you could get your period at anytime, but theres no telling when you'll get it. I never had cramps when i was your age though. If you want to be safe and avoid getting embarrassed if you DO get it, you could start wearing pads, or even just get toilet paper and make a little "mini-pad"---fold toilet paper into a rectangle and make it 4 or 5 sheets thick. And chill out! it happens to all girls, so dont worry.

start wearing a thin panty liner. there pretty much invisable.if you dont get it within a week then i wouldnt worry again until next month if you get the same kind of cramps.you will know if you get it , you will feel something wet. it doesnt just bleed right through your clothes you will have time to get up and go to the bathroom and put on a pad. just go as soon as you think you got it. and you will have the same kind of cramps the whole day before. dont worry its worse the first time but they will lighten up.make sure you always carry something in your back pack. welcome to womanhood.

If I were you I would carry them in your backpack pr purse or whatever bag you take to school. They also have them at the school in those dispensers in the bathroom if you don't have one handy just make sure you have a couple quarters. I started when I was 12 also and was so scared and nervous to ask anyone so I used toilet paper until I got home. Good luck hun.

you are 12, yep it sounds like your gonna be starting, put a pad in your purse and take it to school just incase you will need it. If you happen to start while at school and you dont have a pad, go to the nurse and she will give you one, but those pads that they give you are terrible!! they are so big and fat,,be prepared take your own..

Are you moody at all? Are your breasts a little sore?
If you haven't started yet I say you should definitely be wearing a pad just in case! Better to wear them and waste them than to not wear one and have it start and it get on your clothes!
