What does Calderon want from us?

Well, among other things: a "migratory accord"—giving Mexico veto power over U.S. immigration policy.

An immigration accord was a goal of Mexican President Vicente Fox, whose term is almost over. Fox didn’t actually achieve the accord but he was able to accomplish a lot through meddling in U.S. immigration policy, while he should have been concentrating on other things, like improving Mexico’s economy.

So with the passing of the baton to Calderon, the game goes on.

On September 7th, Calderon told foreign correspondents that an immigration accord with the U.S. is one of his top priorities. His strategy is to persuade members of the U.S. Congress that an immigration accord would be in the interests of both the U.S. and Mexico. Calderon’s goal is to achieve such an accord before the end of the Bush administration, that is, by January 20th, 2009. [El Siglo de Torreon, Luchará Calderón por acuerdo migratorio con Bush , September. 7th, 2006]

Calderon believes that the Bush Administration is ready to help, and he’s surely right on that score. On immigration, Bush and Calderon are in agreement already.

"We will work intensely over the next two years to arrive at a concrete agreement." declared Mexico’s president-elect to foreign reporters.

If the 'immigration' accord results in additional illegals and doesnt address the 'become a citizen' aspect.... then there will be a 2nd american revoluiton because it will mean the end of our freedoms.

I join those of you who want to go to war against mexico.
We should consider takeover of the nation of mexico..

That way all mexicans will be citizens by default.

Nothing new there then ... Fox was already promised by Bush and his merry men that he'd fix the immigration in Mexico's favor ... and this administration is heavily pro illegals sending money back to Mexico to help "build a better future" for Mexico ... there's no doubt that Mexico got the short end of the straw when it came to NAFTA, but I can't for the life of me understand why one bad deal for one country should necessarily have to lead to another bad deal for another country ... think what we have to work on after the border wall is finally voted in will be the dratted spp agreement .... talk about going behind people's backs .... :((

Bushcorp has already sold America down the river. It is regrettable that the populace has not only put him in office the second time, but has allowed him to stay in office. What evil awaits us? Who will be the next evil leader? Will it be Bushcorp yet again? And which would be more correct... Bushcorp, or Bushcorpse? These also are questions for the asking.

Sounds like a threat. It would be in our "interest?" As opposed to what? Maybe I've watched too many movies.
