What is the significance of the pentagram? Why is it that Christians are wary of it and seem to consider it evil? What is the pentagram's origins? This is not a question meant to insult or offend anyone. I am just wondering because I truly do not know. If you DO know, please explain it to me. Thanks for your time.

The Pentagram has been used in many religions... including Christianity (1st Century). It's gained it's "evil" symbolism from propaganda spread by the Church (RCC).
In Wicca, one point up shows spiritual over material (the top point is Spirit, the others are earth air fire water)... One point down shows material over spiritual. This is part of the lessons in the 3 degrees the School of Wicca set up. It has been used as a symbol for Baphomet (which is NOT Satan... though Christianity links Baphomet with Satan). Some Satanists use it, though they are usually young and not fully aware of what the symbolism is to other religions.
I'm sure Wikipedia will have some info on it and it's history.

No. you have the "straight away Pentagram" (or pentacle) it incredibly is a action picture star in a circle. The action picture star is termed Adam. The action picture star is represented as someone with their palms out to their side and their feet unfold aside (the renounce place). The circle represents god, the universe or the endless, which touches the guy in any respect factors constantly. To make the “Perverted Pentagram” (or pentacle) you swap it the different way up then it makes the “Goat’s Head” it incredibly is seen to be the devil’s sign (like turning a pass the different way up). The pentagram is a techniques older than witchcraft.

The Universal language is symbolism. It's rarely the symbols
that are wrong, but they way we interpret them.
Most symbols we wear are just fetishes. They have psychological value, which is good for confidence on a spiritual level. We can put spiritual energy in them, but what if we don't have them handy in a real spiritual emergency? Most people
would be lost.
Just moving your finger through the air, making the shape of
a holy symbol will actually make a real symbol in spirit.
The Five Point Star is the sign of humanity. The 5 points of
the body. Head, hands, (outstretched), and feet.
It is the "upside down" star that symbolizes the dark side of
humanity.

Only the significance the individual attaches to it. Take the swastika for example, in the west, it conjures up images of Hitler, death camps, storm troopers etc. IN Asia it's just a symbol meant to bring good luck. Likewise a pentagram is just a shape until you attach symbolism to it that means something to you.

Pentagram is not evil.
Christians wear a cross as a mark of their religion.
I wear pentagram as a symbol of mine.
People need to read up on these things before they pass judgement.
Wicca.com is a good place to start.

One point up, it's a Wiccan symbol. Some Christians think Wicca itself is evil.
Two points up, it means the Horned God, but sometimes Satanists use it that way, too.

The UPSIDE DOWN pentagram is malevolent, the right side up one is supposed to be positive. Just like ancient times, the swastika USED to be a positive symbol with an old world ethnic group(I can't remember which one) but then Hitler INVERTED it and used it for evil. So it goes with other symbols as well.

Five points - earth, air, fire, water, spirit. Pointed up, shows the spirit invigorating the world, pointed down, the world invigorating the spirit.
When used for satanic ritual, always pointed down, and usually inscribed with a goat's head.

Anything meant to be a religious or spiritual symbol that isn't a cross is evil.
It's typically worn by pagan-types, who are not christians, and anything that is not christian is evil.
(Perhaps I should add that the above are not MY opinions; they're my explanation of why christians don't like them).
The common misconception is that it's a sign of the devil. This has been furthered by hollywood who wouldn't know spirituality if it bit them in the ***. Any good satan worshiper, assuming any exist, know that any religious symbol must be turned upside down to be evil.
