What do you think about when you're scanning groceries?

During yesterday shift, I was trying to get my head round sp2 and sp3 hybridisation in carbon orbitals which was the focus of the lecture I had in the morning. However, most of the time I try and talk to people so the time passes faster but if all else fails, concentrate on how long it is till my shift ends x

I used to work in a big truck stop where all the truckers bought groceries for the road. You could really tell a lot about their personality by what they bought, like if they were too lazy to cook, watched their weight, were sloppy, or knew how and what to cook when they were on the road.

What the person is like. Are they single? Trying to diet? How often they clean their house, what crap they feed their kids..... Well it passes the time!!

i did the job for 4 years and you think about anything except what your actually doing!! it is totally brain numbingly boring!!!

everything and anything, what your gonna have for your dinner or what you gonna get when you go shopping, who's fat who's thin, who's nice looking who's not those kind of things
