i hung out with this guy that i like almost everyday for the last 3 months.we are really good friends and he always seemed really into me. all my friends said i should ask him out. and he never once said anything about having a girlfriend. so i was pretty surprised when she (his girlfriend) walked up this morning as i was talking with him. i was really glad that i hadn't asked him out because at least now we can still be friends. but why wouldn't he tell me something like that? if he had told me that like 3 months ago it wouldve been nice. then maybe i wouldn't have wasted all my time being completely in love with him.

You didn't waste your time. Love is never a waste of time, you may regret it, but you didn't waste any time. Maybe they haven't been going out for three months?? It's possible. Oh and perhaps you should have asked him if he had a girlfriend. Guys don't give that info out on there own cause they want to keep their options open, but if you ask (and they're a decent guy) they'll tell ya the truth. Tomorrow, why don't you ask him how long they've been going out and just other "polite" questions. And by all means DON'T stop talking to him just cause he has a gf. Everyone needs a good friend, and you can be there for him if anything goes wrong with their relationship, etc. Good Luck!

If someone see something as a friend situation sometimes that type of thing does not come up. Now if it were a more than friends situation on his part I am sure he would have disclosed that information. And for further reference you can ask someone if they are dating, and they will give you a simple yes or no answer.

Ummm... did you ever ask him if he had a girl friend? Did he give you any reason to believe he didn't have one?
If he was just into you as a friend, I don't see how that makes him a playa, playa....
It is possible for guys and gals to be friends with no SEX involved...

He obviously likes you and likes your attention. Saying he had a girlfriend would have made you do exactly what you said you would have... back off. It sounds like he loves his girlfriend but really likes you too, so it could be worse!

Did it ever occur to you that he is in love with you too, but just couldn't bring himself to kick his gf to the curb. It has happened to me and it is a bit unnerving one and two, it is a hell of a thing to kick a girl to the curb when you are unsure of anothers feelings. So you should talk to him, without beating around the bush.

second maybe he thought you knew or atleast guessed that he had one or he liked you back
third just dont let it bug you that much it seems hard but it really isnt you just have to distract yourself
