Do you really have to get rid of one ,couldn't you find a way to keep them both?

A) You could put one out on loan like people do with horses and then you know the dog is still yours.Loan out the bull terrier as alot of people cant affort to buy one of them (get it in writting though to prove the dog is only a loan)

B) Write down a list of pros and cons of both dogs and see which suits you best. If that fails keep the dog you got first!!

You do not say why you have to rehome one. Is it because they haven't been neutered? Is it because they are too lively? Neutering is the best option that can be made by dog owners. Male dogs are full of hormones, telling them to mount a female dog. If they cannot do so, which they shouldn't be allowed, as there are far too many homeless dogs in pounds and rescues that need homes before breeding should go ahead, they get very frustrated. Another male dog in the same boat also gets frustrated and this causes them to fight.

However if this is not the case, then why are you asking us? You say they are both lovely? If they love being in each others company, would it not be fairer on the dogs to rehome them together? We do not know enough about them to tell you which one to rehome. All that I ask is that when you do come to a decision, please take your dog to a rescue that has a non destruction policy. Give them the dog that is most likely to be homed first. This way, the dog will not be sat in a kennel for ages, and you can make sure that the dog will have a very decent home. Give the rescue a donation to show your appreciation for their help.

We suggest that you place ads for both dogs, and see which one gets the most response. Keep the one no else seems to go for.

If you need help placing an ad on the various adoption websites, we may be able to help. For more information see our website at:

We can place the ads for you for free.
