no. we still have laws, although they are being written to enable profit, not liberty.

i am not bothered by immigration. i don't know why it is such a wedge issue. can you explain to me what you are hoping to address through legislation? the law is only as good as the implementation, and we have been pretty unrealistic with mexico... what is it you are hoping for?

To a great extent that is true.

The Pharmaceutical Company says no National Health or reasonable costs (which we are killing some everyday who can not afford medical- I wonder how many deaths a year just from this). Five major oil Companies now own and control our oil (this you can blame this on Clinton who allowed the buying up of smaller ones-by dividing between five it can not be called a Monopoly-and plenty for all -And Bush does nothing about it). And others. Things people depend on for life here. And their profits are beyond reasonable. Anyways you get the point--they put the electives who will support their views. Big Business has the money to give power. And the laws seem to be overlooked by many of them.

They could care less if "we the people" have to use both sides of the toilet paper before we throw it away to save any money.

I am so upset about this--everyone gets a point-its all I can give anymore.

I'll say one thing for our elected representatives, they are loyal ... once bought, they stay bought ... that is, if we can't make them mend their ways ....

Yes, big corporations rule, but politicians love getting re elected ... which is why our votes still count ...

As for immigration laws, well, we HAVE perfectly valid immigration laws as it is, including a guest worker program ... there really is no need to tinker with a "comprehensive solution", rather, when this wall which we'll finally (hopefully) get approval for in the Senate is built, no need for any more reform ...just follow the laws of the land exactly as they are ... the problem is not that we don't have adequate immigration laws, the problem is that our laws are not enforced!! This comprehensive reform is just so much bull crap and smoke screen ...

False. Go out and break the law and you'll see that you will still be prosecuted. Now our Immigration laws have not been followed for too many years to count. For this I blame the judges. But that's okay. If there are any Politicians anywhere in this great land of ours who still has a question in regards as to how Americans feel about this issue, they need to be fired immediately.

George W Bush makes a mockery of our nations laws, and the Constitution,, immigration, pedophiles, rapists, child pornography, sex slave trade, drugs, gambling,,corporate welfare,, anything goes in the White House now, as long as it's a money maker,, the Bush Doctrine allows inhumane torture,, he will continue to tweak all the laws of our land until the real Americans TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!

False. Corporations ran America in the late 1800's early 1900's. We don't live in a true capitalist society at all anymore.

True........and it took you how long to figure that one out lol, If a law gets in the way of profit it's either ignored or changed by corporations.
