when your child told you about their sexual orientation, did you disown them? What was your reaction? How long did it take for you to accept them? I'm just trying to find some advice, I came out to my mom 4 years ago, now i dont know where to go from here.

i'm not a parent, but disowning them would be an absoloutely horrible thing to do. there's nothing wrong with homosexuality, and it takes a lot of courage to tell people, so congrats on that ma' dear. i'd say the best option is probably to talk to your mom about it.

I am the same way, My father did disown me. Ask your parents where your relationship with the stand.. You'll never know how they truely feel unless you ask.
