Too many carbs so far and you shouldn't skip breakfast. The sooner you eat in the morning, the sooner your metabolism kicks into gear. You can have something quick like Oatmeal or high fibre cereal.
Its good to include at least 3 low fat dairy products into your meals and you should also try to eat some protein at each meal. A couple pieces of turkey bacon would be good for breakfast, something like tuna for lunch and then either chicken, beef or some kind of fish for dinner.
You might have to plan ahead to to make sure you are getting enough of everything--the meals need to be balanced with protein, fruits and veggies, carbs and dairy.

how much do you weight right now? because your weight determines the calories you eat.. but i can tell you right now that you're eatin too much of the wrong foods. raviole with meat sause then bread stick? THEN mashed potatoes? those food are the what containes the most calories. adn then you go and eat cookies and preztels which contain LOTS OF CALORIES and LOTS OF FAT. not eatin breakfast was a bad idea either. if you gimme your weight i'll give you a good meal plan for you to go on a diet. mine worked wonders for me and it's very very healthy. not to mention the food is great. you also need to consider if there is a time frame in which you want to lose a certain amount of weight.
but yeah anyways ... basically, so far.. you're eating too much of the wrong foods IF YOU Wanted to lose weight

Things could be worse; You have a period so you are not pregnant You were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with loved ones -- some are not You have a roof over your head, some do not and spent today in a shelter You have a mom who has a sense of humor and went out to get extra things you needed after spending the day preparing a Thanksgiving dinner So what is a little mess to clean up? I'm assuming it is!
But anyways eat a big, healthy breakfast, you'll most likely burn it all before the end of the day. Breadsticks, mashed potatoes, and cookies have practically no nutricional value, so theyre a big waste of calories.
Eat lots of meat, dairy, fruits and veggies, and avoid crap that has no actuall purpose other than to fill you up.
But in all honesty, if the total calories of what you ate today was lower than what you burned, or course youll lose weight. Less you eat, more weight youll lose. Only youll start looking real unhealthy and ugly because youll be depriving your body of the vitamins it needs to maintain itself.

Keep up with that type of food and by the end of october you'll be two sizes BIGGER not smaller!!
EAT BREAKFAST, have a good decent midday meal with lots of veggies...salad and some lean meat or fish.
If you have to skip a meal, skip the evening one...that's the one that "sticks to the ribs"...
Actually it is better to have five small meals than 3 large ones...
a normal breakfast is worked off during the day. have a cup of tea or a fruit midmorning, then a good mdday meal, another cup of tea with two or three "light" biscuits or another piece of fruit midafternoon. For the evening meal have a light vegetable soup, or another salad.
Avoid breads and sweets, definitely no pretzels or "snackwells".
And another thing, drink 2 litres of water every day... This will help clean you out from the inside...and water is NOT FATTENING

You won't lose weight like that. Guaranteed! You have to eat breakfast. Try yogurt or oatmeal. Then have a light snack about 10, like a banana and some tea or an apple. Then have lunch, like a tuna kit or a salad or a smart ones meal. Then have another snack a few hours later, like a smoothie or almonds or half a sandwich. Then have a salad or veggie sandwich for dinner. All the carbs and starches you're eating now will make it difficult to lose weight.

If you're trying to lose weight, skipping breakfast won't do you any good. If anything, you should have a heavy breakfast to curb your appetite during lunch and dinner.
From your list, most of what you've taken for the day are foods rich in carbs which is a bad formula for someone trying to lose weight.

So far, you have had a really lot of carbohydrates... If you want to lose weight, focus on the kinds of foods you eat...
Breakfast is a good thing- first of all. Try lean proteins, like eggs and or turkey bacon...
For lunch, try salads to get your veggies in...
Dinner should be a lean protein (chicken, fish, etc) with veggies and some whole grains.
You don't have to go low carb if you don't want, but you should focus on balancing them with proteins. Eat peanut butter with your toast, have some cheese with your pretzels, etc.
