You could take the "Seinfeld" tour with Kenny Kramer, and there is also a company called "On Location Tours" that offers several different movie-themed tours of New York: Sopranos, Sex and the City, and general Movie/TV-oriented tours.

Many of the stroe is movies are changed for the movies and altered; just like the west sdie of the surrogate's cout is made to look like a police station. The insdies of the court houses you will also recognise.

Monk's Diner is on the upper West Side, I think 105th Street, near Columbia University. The soup shop is in mid-town, around 50th Street and Eight Avenue. A lot of movies are filmed in Soho, South of Houston Street, Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village, Central Park in the heart of Manhattan. I know someone who saw Leonardo DiCaptri in Central Park on a movie set. Keep your eyes open and you could also see plenty of celebrities. I saw Elton John walking on Sixth Avenue at 8:30 a.m. Real New Yorkers, however, leave celebrities alone afterall who really cares?
