Why is it that some people are so obsessed with that? If they believe in God so much why don't they have faith that he will protect them? I believe in God and I know that even if I die it's not the end. I don't understand why some people are afraid to die.

Because God tells us Christians to be ready for the return of His son Jesus.
Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
As a Christian, you should know that.

People naturally try to predict anything, or have an opinion on everything....its just the way humans are. Also "they" like to put fear into humans....
I dont think the world will end in 1000's of year...The earth has been around a looooong time. I dont know why people like to think it will end soon?

Christ did give several parables about the end times so it does have revalance to Christians today. One parable was of bridesmaids waiting for the groom to come but not being prepared when he arrived late. A lesson teaching christians to stay aware and to be ready for no one knows the day when he will return.

Because some of us are tired of the wars, the evil of this planet- and when Christ comes back, it will end.
The sick shall be healed, all wrongs righted,,,and at least for myself, no more ulcer pain that could become cancer in the future. So yeah, I want Christ back here RIGHT NOW
