Spam is kinda like ham...which is a white meat...so I think the best that goes with it is a good strong Canadian beer....like Molson triple X.....serve that with your spamburgers...

White Lightening cider on a drowsy summer's day or Special Brew as nights draw in and winter chills.
(Any full strength cheap equivalent from the nearest supermarket or local offy makes a perfectly suitable alternative).
For festive occasions why not mix the two for that well known popular offering "Spam and Snakebite".
In Somerset, where purists dispense with the spam, this meal is
fondly called "A Gert Snakey".

When serving with spam the proper wine would be a mixture of the two!

When serving spam you have neither red or white. It is a passion pop champagne that you would serve. It goes very well with the tomato sauce gravy that you have put on top of your grilled spam and fried hash browns.

Are you having the lobster thermidor a crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam or are you having the spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam?

In either case, I'd just have the spam...er... the red, red, yes, that's it.

It all depends on whether you are keeping the clear gelatin on the spam or wiping it off!

Keeping the gelatin = White wine
Wiping it off = Red wine

You don't drink wine with spam. You sit in your trailer, get out a can of spam and slurp down a case of beer. How you could do either is out of my realm of thinking b/c they are both soooo nasty.

As long as it's screwtop it doesn't make a difference. My choice is white port.
