You always go for the best. When I was in school, I was on my class advisory board as Vice President. I only went for V.P because I didnt want the responsibility of Pres. But...I was thinking all wrong. See, if you make a commitment to be a part of a council, then you should be putting your best foot forward at all time. You are respresenting the people of your class and/or school, so you want to go for the highest position, only if you serious about taking over the responsibility. Like everything else, it is going to be a challenge. But I wish that I had went for president, instead of being stuck at V.P for two years in a row. So go for the best, President is the way!

I did both.. grade rep, Vice and Prez..

If this is your first year I'd totally suggest to go for secratary as I think it might be good experience before taking on the whole responsibility on your own. The president doesn't need to be super outgoing but more great at delegating projects and idea's to others. IF you have the ideas and the drive to provide your school with as much school spirit and giving your classmates a great environment to have a good time in while creating a positive image in your community then it doesn't matter how outgoing you are.

Um, if you are shy, secretary. President needs a forward thinking outgoing person. Also, the speech will be hard to give if you're shy, and there is ALWAYS someone running for president. And of course, never think you'll win, unless you are popular and know it. (even then some people who aren't popular might hate you).

I would go for V.P. Also try to get the most popular presidential candidate to "endorse" you by putting ad posters with both your names on them and stuff.

secretaries get to keep minutes, this involves taking notes during meetings. Go for president or V.P.
