Absolutely, for obvious reasons. However, we also need that visa exit program on line, and need a true employee tracking database so there can be enforcement against employers. We also need to dismantle the benefit magnets.

Why should we close our borders? For security purposes? Aren't there people whose only job is to protect this country already? This country is based on immigration. Can anyone understand that.? Not LEGAL immmigration just Immigration period. American will never seal it's borders because to do so would mean that it has become a one race country that will not allow diverse people to become citizens.

I do. Because we owe something to the people here--protection. And we are the caretakers of this land (we are not doing a good job of it--our Leaders fault -greed and corruption). Will protecting the border help--Yes- will it change everything for the better-a course not. But we should do what we are able too.

The "set-up" they have now is fine...it just has to be enforced. But see...that would be free...congress needs an excuse to tax us more. Oh yeah...30 billion dollar tax hike to secure our borders. Yeah, ok.

Between the illegal aliens and Bush and his entourage I just cant see the economy getting any better.

It's logic. Better secure the borders, enforce the law, deal with illegal immigrants already here.
