My problem is she still acts like shes in heat. She Flags her tail to spray and she wails and acts like she is in heat?? How can this be and is there anything I can do?

First you need to check to make sure her scar is actually from a spay surgery. ((Some unscrupulous vets charge for spays they never actually perform.)) Have the vet "palpate" her abdomen to see if he can feel any indication that the uterus is still intact. An ultrasound will also give you a positive answer to the question.

I have accualy heard of this happing before. A friend of mines cat was spayed and kept going into heat. They took her to the vet and she ended up needing surgary. The vet how spayed her left an ovarie behind, so the cat still had all the hormones that cause a cat to go into heat. After her second spay the cats doing fine!

Are you sure it was a spay scar and not from something else? Take her back to the vet.

Sometimes cats even females will spray again even after surgery . My uncles cat did and now he has stopped after a few months . I have female cat that has been fixed and still sprays so she has to be an outdoor Kittie . Good luck to ya !

cats sometimes give off symtoms of being in heat after they have been fixed, it is usually normal, she could also be marking her domain, as well as showing dominance over other animals in the house.
