i heard there is a type of blood clot that is hereditary. i don't believe this to be true but i wanted to ask to find out if anyone has heard of this one.

It's true. It's call thrombophilia and it's hereditary. It's not a hereditary blood clot -- you can't inherit a blood clot. It's a clotting disorder.

There is probably a hereditary predisposition to blood clots, but I believe they are more often caused by lifestyle choices: activities, diet, birth control pills, and often sitting for long periods of time (especially on an airplane for some reason).

blood clot is a blood clot, there are many reasons, some are heriditary most are acquired, good luck
