What is the force needed to break a human neck?

Can a women do it physically? I realize that each person is different in the physical abilities, but I have heard that only a macho body building guy can break a human neck. This obviously sunds absurd to me, but I just wanted to know.

It's also a matter of angle, leverage and sometimes dumb luck.

It is easier to put someone to sleep with a headlock cutting off their blood-flow to the brain.

Sorry, I really don't know the tensile strength of bone.
