I'm switching from Paxil 40 mg to Wellbutrin. I took half doses (20 mg) for five days while taking the Wellbutrin. My doctor told me to take the half dose of Paxil for another week but I don't want to. This is my second day without any Paxil. I'm only taking the Wellbutrin. Is it okay to stop the Paxil now and how long does Paxil stay in your system?

I would do what your doctor suggests! After 7 years training and many years experience they usually have a fair idea.

I'd say not less than 10 days to get out of your system.

It usually takes two months for new medicine to get into your system and start taking effect. That's why he wants you to take them both at the same time. You will not have a lapse in treatment
