It should not be permitted. However, I am a realist. I understand that as long as there are paying jobs here and people who want them in Mexico, they will find a way to come and get them. It's only our stupid lack of policy that continues to make this illegal.
We need to implement my two-prong immigration policy.
1) Make it a federal crime to hire an illegal worker and impose a $25,000 fine PER WORKER on anyone caught employing them.
2) Create a cross-border temp agency that can quickly match up workers with employers, with the authority to grant an unlimited number of temporary work visas to people who go through the program. Visas last as long as that employer keeps that worker.
By this, we encourage employers to get rid of the illegal workers and get legal ones instead.
A couple of additions: employers in any COUNTY that has an unemployment rate of 6% or higher cannot apply for guest workers. Employers in any country where unemployment is 7% or higher has to start sending his workers back and hiring locally.

Ten reasons:
1. Employers can blackmail illegal immigrants into working for slave wages.
2. Employers can blackmail illegal immigrants into staying for years at their jobs.
3. Landlords can charge really high rents to illegals.
4. Illegals earn money and spend money, but they can't vote crooked politicians out.
5. Illegals are more law-abiding than ordinary residents. Don't want to be picked up.
6. Because many illegals don't understand English, they can't be informed of their rights.
7. Illegals will take just about any job to make ends meet.
8. Illegals bring in relatives and have them live in the same house so there are more workers to pay the rent. Landlord raises rent.
9. Illegals get relatives hired by crooked employers to further ensure the labor pool.
10. The children of illegals born in this country are US citizens and eligible for our tax dollars. We need to spend tax dollars. Makes the politicians look good and gives them something to talk about. (See #4)

There's only one answer to this question.
Illegal means - breaking the law, no matter what you have done. For instance, selling drugs is illegal and there will be consequences to pay.
What makes illegal immigrants think they could get away with breaking the law?

3) Urban Sprawl
4) economic security for citizens
5) Education for citizens
6) cultural identity of this nation as a melting pot.
7) Respect for our laws
8) Rising occurence of identity theft
9) Border Security for THE most terrorist threatened nation in the world.
10) Disease spread by illegal aliens
