Unless your garden is filled with old growth trees (conifers, I believe) you do not have truffles in your garden.
If you really do believe you have truffles in your garden, find a farmer with a truffle sniffing pig and let him have a go. I'm sure he would let is pig give a sniff in exchange for a share of the profit.

Using a pig its a good idea.
**BUT I tell you another way :-) :
Usually truffle grow up after THUNDER. And if you have truffle in your garden it makes a cross on your land.**
I'm sure no body knows this way.
Good luck

get a pig at the local farm, bring it to your yard, let it out at night, it will snuffle around a bit, if theres truffles, he'll find 'em, but grab it quick before he eats it himself
but wait, is that really a truffle or did a deer just pass through your garden
my suggestion, get the truffles from a trusted source, or you may just be eating s__t!!

Unless you live in France or Italy, you don't have truffles in your garden that are worth eating.
