I have a male cat and he does that too. I think that he does it because they like the salt that your body produces or they are trying to clean like they clean themselves.

Its their way of showing you that they love you(kitty kisses) :), and they want attention. i no my cats do that all the time (boy and girl) it hurts sometimes lol so yeah he is just showin the love.

it means he loves and likes u, or maybe sumtyms u just smell fishy.. (just kidding, hehehe...) well rili he/she just adore u...sweet kitty...i have mine too shes a siamese, once u hold her she will put her two hand round my neck then she will give me a kiss and i do love it... its so wonderful...
