It sounds like you're depressed to me ("escape life").. go see a shrink, they can give you some good meds and hopefully find out what's going on. The first step is ACKNOWLEDGEMENT.
This is not normal behavior.. get well soon.
Good Luck.

Sometimes depression goes unnoticed because most people associate being depressed as feeling sad and gloomy. Many factors such as stress, anxiety, and chemical imbalances of the brain can trigger it. You mentioned that you like to sleep because it's your method of choice " to escape life." The fact that you don't want to participate in and face reality is a red flag. These are some signs of depression:
Loss of energy and interest.
Diminished ability to enjoy oneself.
Decreased -- or increased -- sleeping or appetite.
Difficulty in concentrating; indecisiveness; slowed or fuzzy thinking.
Exaggerated feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or anxiety.
Feelings of worthlessness.
Recurring thoughts about death and suicide.

If you notice that you don't get as excited or happy as before, I would seek professional help because the problem could get more severe. In the meantime, make a sincere effort to get back to your hobbies, keep your loved ones at bay, exercise ( to increase natural mood and energy boosting endorphins). If you find that too hard to do, pick up a phone and call for counseling.

Consider altering your diet as well. Too many sugars, fats, and carbohydrates can leave you feeling sluggish and lethargic. Try "grazing" or snacking on small low-fat, low-sugar meals throughout the day.

You may not be "feeling depressed", but honey, face the facts, you are. If you can sleep that much & it's to escape your life, then it's depression. You need to get on an anti-depressant & find out what in your life you need to escape from. Take it from me, okay?
I promise you - if you get help, things will get better & you can come back to yourself & to a more normal life. I know - I live it every day. There has to be some aspect of your life causing this need to escape life - be brutally honest with yourself & try to find
out what it is so you can begin to fix it & get on with living!!! Please? Good luck!!!

That is depression. You need to find people who can make the dreams you like to see when you sleep, a reality. If you are having problems in that area, you might want to talk to a therapist. Thank you and good luck.

Sleep, it won't kill you. Also have your blood counts checked. Chemical unbalance could cause sleepiness as well as depression.
Consult your doctor.
