Every day im lightheaded no matter what I am doing. It is taking away from my social time, and its starting to really make me feel almost depressed. I have been told im hypoglycemic, my blood isnt getting to my head, etc...none of which I found to be the main symptom. Its starting to really get me scared, and I have a feeling as if Im about to pass out, and that my balance is off . I also have head pressure and I really feel like I will never get it fixed. Its scary. I would really like someone to talk to who has maybe had these same symptoms, or know what i should do ? ive been to every doctor except a ENT (ears nose and throat doctor) and I have yet to get a CAT scan as I am scared I have something severe in my head...I am not sure. Please help as Im going to college in less then a year and I know i will not enjoy it as I should with these problems...thanks.

There are a ton of medical, social, spiritual, and psychological problems that can cause dizziness. My suggestion is start a journal in which you write down the symptoms you're having, when you're having them, what you're doing when you have them, what you've had to eat recently, what you do next when you realize you have them, and whether or not they get better. Take this journal with you to your doctor.

Out of the many possibilities, some are definitely diagnosed by a CAT scan. Many others requiring hearing tests. Some require blood tests. Some can be diagnosed without any tests just by reading your journal.

It's totally up to you, but I'd be more afraid of not finding out what my problem is than I would be of getting some tests done to find out what it was. It's probably nothing serious, but even it was, I'd rather know about it; but then, that's just me.

If you have been told that you are hypoglycemic then that would be the reason you are light headed. You need to work on balancing your meals. Add more protien. Eat 6 small meals a day all including some protien. You can find this in anything containing peanut butter, in cheese , eggs and in other protiens. If this does not work then you need to go back to the doctor you saw.
Do not skip meals or skip breakfast or eat it to late in the morning as you will have the same problem only worse.
Now saying all that problems in the inner ear can cause dizzy problems as well as other things. Also, anziety attacks from worrying can cause light headedness.

Some people naturally have a potassium deficiency. Smoking and drinking certainly does not help this matter. Discuss it with your Family Physician if this could be an option. If he doesn't seem to agree, then discuss the possibility of a Vitamin B-12 injection once a month. It increases your energy levels and dramatically helps with your mental alertness and has no serious side effects. Good luck.

Do you smoke? Alcohol? Probably not so I would suggest seeing a ear specialist, balance is related to ears. Test your water, think of what you have done different in the last year? Normally I feel personly that you will have to do alot of research even on the net and and figure it our yourself, what I'm saying is do not depend on the doctor all the time. Goodluck , I hope you feel better soon.
