what happened? did they garnish your wages or take anything from ya? back in my college days i had a couple and they are going after it now. not sure what to do

If you contact them now they will be willing to settle for pennies on the dollar. If you don't respond yes they can take you to court and your wages will be garnished and yes it happened to us. I don't know if every case turns out that way but ours did.
If there coming after you after all these years I'd say its serious. I also seen a report on gma awhile back and this man was a senior citizen a doctor and they took him to court for all his student loans. Good Luck!

Don't worry about it. My nephew went through it. He's still going through it. They will try to sue you for it. He went to court through the JP and he had to pay a small sum of it and it was clear then. It does kill you credit rating though.
