shortest match. bad draw, when the air balloon was dropping fast and the group in the air balloon had to get rid of weight. the man drew the shortest match, meaning he had to jump out so the rest of the group can float away. (or any permutation of this story, could be a plane with not enough parachutes, or a car with not enough gas to get across the desert, or 5 people and 4 horses trying to cross, etc.)

He was with several others in a hot air balloon crossing the desert.
The balloon was punctured and they began to lose altitude. They tossed all their non-essentials overboard, then their clothing and food, but they will still going to crash in the middle of the desert. Finally, they drew matches to see who would jump over the side and save the others; this man lost. Minor variant wording: add that the man is nude too!

a canadian anthropoligist guide to printers salesman told this man to go to the sahara there he would meet a volumptuos woman, but this man was not susposed to go with this woman, but in reality when he went he did he followed this woman deep into the desert and lasted at her campsite, this is where while in his sleep he was about to light a match for light because he thought he heard something but it was death, this volumptuous woman was a shadow and killed the man before he could even striker the match
ha take that it even makes sense!

he and some others were in a hot air balloon. and they were gonna crash if they didn't lighten the load. so they threw all the things they didn't need out of the balloon, and all they had left were the matches to light the hot air balloon, so they drew matches to see who would jump overboard to save the others. this man lost.

well, you see he was trying to light a fire one day when out of nowhere aliens came down from the heavens and took him to their space ship... where they did a probe of his pet anal and when they realized that he liked it they had no choice but to put him back on earth, when he woke up he couldn't believe what had happened and was so shocked that he was chosen by the aliens that he had a massive heart attack and died with the match still in between his fingers...

the man fall from an aircraft at night, he taught he fall to a bunch of snow & felt the need to light something to warm him up, but he can't find anything to scratch the match, he was frightened to death of knowing tha't he'll freeze to death

Either that or he just had an abnormal growth on his fingers and died of exposure.
