If you have time in the morning before school, make crepes! Make the bread part and put in a plastic lunch bag with wax paper in between. Then fill a little Tupperware container with fruit or something. You can change the filling for something different. Here's one recipe, I hope you like it!!! :) 1. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 2. 1/2 teaspoon salt 3. 3/4 cup skim milk 4. 1 large egg 5. Vegetable oil 10. 24 strawberries, sliced 11. Confectioners' sugar, for dusting 1. In a small bowl, whisk the flour with the salt. Add the milk, egg and 1 tablespoon of oil and whisk until smooth. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes. 2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Heat an 8-inch nonstick skillet. Rub the pan with an oiled paper towel. Add about 3 tablespoons of the crepe batter, swirling the pan to coat evenly; pour off any excess. Cook the crepe over moderate heat until the bottom is brown in spots and the sides are crisp, about 2 minutes. repeat to make 7 more crepes. 3. Fold the crepes into quarters. Dust with confectioners sugar. Yield: 4 servings

Most kids' lunches are packed so you don't have to heat them. I always pack my kids' lunches with an icepack you can buy in the section of most stores like Target where they sell lunchpails and plastic containers.
Some foods you can pack are the following:
Sandwiches such as ham, turkey, bologna or peanut butter and jelly
Roll ups which are the same sort of things you'd put on a traditional sandwich, like mayo, mustard, lunchmeat, pickle, cheese, but rolled up in a flour tortilla and cut in half
Carrot sticks or celery sticks
Gogurt "on the go" yogurt (long tubes of yogurt) you can pop in the lunch
Capri sun fruit juice bags or fruit juice boxes
Motts single pack size applesauce (you can throw in a plastic spoon as well)
Crackers (depending on the age of the child, fish crackers, club crackers, Ritz, wheat thins, etc)
Cheese sticks (such as string cheese, they even sell cheese cut out in fun shapes now if you have younger kids and want to get them to eat it)
Cookies
Fruit (try freezing some grapes, they're good frozen and also good slightly defrosted or just plain cold!)
If you have a picky eater, that won't eat sandwiches, you can always put crackers, and cut up squares of turkey, ham or cheese for them to make their own lil cracker stacks. It makes it fun and still gets them to eat well (and A LOT cheaper than just buying those prepackaged lunchables)
Just make it fun and enjoy! :-) They grow up way to fast!!

I saw a puzzle sandwich the other day. Take a sandwich and use a cookie cutter in the middle, then slice from the cutter to the outside of the bread, it will look like a puzzle.
Cut up fruit / vegis.
Popcorn in ziplock bags.
Trail Mix.
Vary the sandwiches - use bread / pita pockets / bagels / english muffins / tortillas -- then he will not get bored with the same thing.

PLACE cheese in 1 side of resealable sandwich-size plastic bag; loosely tie pie cleaner or twist tie around middle of bag. Place fruit in other end of bag; seal bag, then twist pipe cleaner tightly to separate cheese from the fruit.
CURL ends of pipe cleaner to resemble antennae of a butterfly.
REFRIGERATE until ready to serve. Untwist pipe cleaner, leaving bag sealed. Gently shake bag to mix fruit and cheese. Open bag and enjoy!
