It was China. Pasta was invented for their famous Noodles and Dog Fillets garnished with a puree of cat liver

A trucker was driving along this busy road when he was overtaken by an even larger truck.

I think it originated in China. I believe Marco Polo brought it back to Europe from his trip to Asia.
