The UN should not do much more than humanitarian aid. If they do, it makes it more like a "New World Order", with powers over the sovereignty of nations. They generally, in the realm of politics, do the wrong thing in the name of political correctness. They limit the ability of those participating in actions, making the job even harder.
The UN is as antiquated today, as the League of nations was in the 1930's and 1940's.

A lot of countries all over the world they do not agree with USA Politics, and The USA Government saw that
so They can't Fool The Other people like they use too
so The United Nation is useless Long time ago

While I'm not a big fan of their lackluster results, if we go by that criteria then maybe we should tell the U.S.Congress to pack their bags too. Like with Congress, we currently don't have a better alternative, & until we do there may still be some good that comes from that organization.

I agree with many that the UN doesn't accomplish as much as I guess you expect it should, but the US would never drop out of a forum where we had the chance to bully other nations or to tell them how to conduct their affairs. We could always decide to cede from the UN-it does not need this country to exist-it would continue running with it's other member nations.

I truly have never understood what it is the U.N. does or how they enforce it. From just reading and watching the media, it seems to be a non-effective, expensive organization.

Pack their bags and do what? The UN has authority over the US, not the other way around. The only person who could pack their bags to leave would be the US, or any other member state who decided to cease membership.

I can't see that the UN accomplishes much outside of humanitarian aid. During times of crisis all they can do is pass resolutions that are generally ignored.

The world needs UN, without it , the US would want control of the world. If the US does not think so, they need to remove themselves from the league of nations.

Yes, its a farce. I really can't see what they accomplish. They can't even stop genocide when it occurs and then the rest of the planet t always expect the US to do something when they won't. And then they raise a stink when we act unilaterally. The frickin hypocrites.
