A few branches broke off my plant, full of not nearly ripe fruit...does anyone have a recipe for green tomato preserves, or a dish or anything I can do with these? I hate to throw them out, but there's no way they'll ripen on my windowsill.

GREEN TOMATOE FRITTERS

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups peeled chopped tomatoes
2 cups fresh scraped corn kernels with juices
sugar
salt
pepper
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk
flour
PREPARATION:
Combine tomatoes and corn. Season with sugar, salt, and pepper. Add the beaten eggs, milk, and enough flour to hold the mixture together. Drop cakes into deep hot fat, at about 360° to 370°.

Have you ever heard of fried green tomatoes? Slice up the tomatoes and dip them in an egg mixture and fry until golden brown, very good!

Make some salsa with them and red tomatoes,
onions, garlic, hot sauce. Whatever else you would like to add.

pickles put them in a jar with vinegar n lil bit of salt n keep them in a dark place for 2 weeks n then u can eat them

make some batter and dip them into it then deep fry them with your favorite spices.

ever hear of fried green tomatoes? they're GREAT!

If they're not too tiny, you can always have mini fried green tomatoes...
