what a nasty scenario!
Well, putting aside the impossibility of it ever happening (unless Bush gets a vision or something), i would have to say that it would get ugly very quickly.
You asked "if America invaded" but you didn't give a reason ! nations need to know and so do people who are trying to answer this one...
I will give two cases, first case that USA invades for no good reason and the second that it has full justification (eg..Canada buys a bomb with a big letter H on it and Fry's DC).
In the event of the first the United kingdom would kick seven kinds of hell out of the USA at sea with German and french help.
Britain still has the best trained and equipped fleet in the world even if we cant match the USA in terms of numbers and the size of carriers... with the French and German and a few other EU country's (all of which would follow a UK led coalition) WE COULD TAKE YOU APART! you chaps wouldn't be able to survive until the pacific fleet comes to the rescue... we have the Atlantic thus we can support the Canadian army with troop and material convoys ... basically WWII in reverse.... and we would win, canada is so vast (twice the size of the USA) that you couldnt hope to overun it in the time required!
Second case... that is one based on Canadian provocation...
The world all condems canada, sits back and watches you take her apart... possibly Iran or china might back the canadians but only because they are either stupid(IRAN) or just trying to flex their new found super power muscles (CHINA... these chaps will be your big worry for the next century... if you thought the russians were bad you are going to be in for a shock).

Buddy....what do you have up there that we would want. Oh granted a handful of strategic locations like in and around Alaska. The borders are awfully big to try and cover but I have no doubt there'd be some major naval engagements taking place through the St Lawrence seaway and the Great Lakes.
Lots of ICBM silos in Montana and S. Dakota so you guys may have all of...ohh....5 or 10 seconds to blink and maybe say a quick prayer before your last vison is a great flash of light.
I can't even begin to offer who would align with who unless you present some scenario (and it would have to follow through with all the failed attempts at diplomacy) to make it work. Don't forget...diplomatic failings would have to also fall into place with England and whoever else may side up like Australia and New Zealand.

Depends on what the reason was. I get the feeling Britain would be dragged into supporting America, but the public opinion with side with Canada, we've always felt an affiliation with the underdog.

England would have to support Canada against America America has never been part of the Commonwealth,also the British people would i think support Canada, then the majority would support Canada because they hate America they are the Muslims

What countries are you talking about?
If the US invaded Canada the war is over in 1/2 hour. Canada has a very small army and is not designed to withstand an invasion because they rely on the US for true defense. How do you think Canada affords its soscialized medicine? It has a minute, almost non-existent, military budget.
And why do you think any other countries would get involved? Since their are no other navies in the world to speak of except Russia and Britain there is not much that could be done. And Canada is not that big a source of international trade to anyone except the US and Britain.

Although Britain is friends with the US
Canada is apart of the commonwealth so i think Britain would team up with Canada and then there would be trouble for the Americans,also the French would team with the Canadians.

1st, would never happen
2nd most Strong US allies (like Britain) are also Canadian Allies so I think they wouldn't take sides.
3rd, Russia, China and France would probably side with Canada if for no other reason then to oppose America like they always do.

I am an American, and in light of the current events, I find it difficult to imagine anyone aligning with the United States in any conflict let alone one with Canada.
I would prefer to contemplate the start in all countries of a Peace University such as is suggested in the current issue of Beijing Review where we might be training people for peace rather than for war. (there are so very many schools to teach war, and none to teach peace.)

I know of NO two NATO countries that would attack each other. This isn't 1812 so this question is well ubsurd.
