Is it going to burn? No. It is just like any other rock. Rocks don't burn.

If it truly marble, it is fireproof, but some surfaces only look like marble, so make sure first, check a small part.

I don't think the marble is fireproof. Although it could tolerate high heat but will crack with extream temperature

I've never known stone to burn, unless it was volcanic. That said however,,, If you've ever left a burning cigarette on a CULTURED Marble surface,,, it will burn it,,,and/or stain it at the very least.

Yes, if it's real marble, although a hot coal will make a burn mark on it, in case it's a fireplace hearth.
