Oh yeah - it's the opposite of anorexia. Guys (and girls) look in the mirror and see a skinny unmuscular person, no matter how big they are. When they start to obsess about it, when they start tearing their bodies apart with steroids to gain more muscle, it's a sickness. By the time they become competitive they're more chemical than anything. Bodybuilding is the only "sport" where you are expected to take steroids and everyone knows it. It's not a sport at all, it a chemical freak show.

People who work out and eat right are healthy. People who shoot up with the intention to become freaks are just sick.

Competitive body building is something that most just "fell into." They started out trying to improve their body to the best it could be. Along the way, they found that they had become not only their own best, but had become other people's "ideal body."

Unfortunately, there were some who felt the need for steroids, that was cheating and, ironically, self abuse. That is that part of body building that is the "sick obsession.?
